You can apply to CLLD for a grant of £10,000 or more from our main scheme. For smaller grants, please see our small grants section.
There is no maximum grant. However, your project should provide value for money so the more you request the greater the amount of outputs your project will be expected to deliver.
The amount of funding you can apply for is determined by the type of activity you plan to deliver. Typically grants will range from 45% to 80% towards the eligible costs of your project and you should consider how you will make up the difference.
There are 2 stages to the application process.
The submission of an Expression of Interest. This is a short form that captures an overview of your project so we can formally confirm eligibility and present it to your Local Action Group. They will then make a decision either to reject your application or invite you to make a full application. Their decision is based on how well your project helps deliver their Local Development Strategy and is not necessarily a reflection of whether your project is good or not.
If invited to make a full application, you will have 2 months to complete the relevant forms and make your formal submission. The application is then assessed and presented to the LAG for a decision. In total you should be prepared for the application process to take 4-6 months.
We are unable to fund retrospectively, so do not incur any of your project costs in advance of a decision as this will make them ineligible and may jeopardise your whole project.
Please speak to us about your project before making an application so we can advise if it is an eligible activity and how much funding you may be able to apply for.
